It is a series of vessels I created in Hong Kong in late 2020 - MIZU and MOK.
Each piece is unique.
MIZU(水) is inspired by the ocean’s eternal interplay of raw force and fluid elegance, MIZU borrows its organic form from nature. Mizu is Japanese for water, and this collection is a representation of the fluid lines, force and stillness found in the sea.
MOK (木) means wood Japanese and it’s also pronounced the same in Cantonese. It is inspired by nature, with an added touch of modern lines and shapes. It’s a delicate balancing act between nature and what is human made.
